My FIRST Print and Cut with the Cameo!

Happy Friday! Guess what?! Today I'm sharing my very first print and cut with the Silhouette Cameo! For this project, I used a Lettering Delights graphic file to try out the print and cut feature of the Cameo. This one came from the Right as Rain graphic set.
I wanted to create a shadow for the image because of the little shapes in it. So I used the offset feature to do that and it worked perfectly. I cut it out twice , and then cut off the bottom raindrops, so I could add some embossing to the cloud. I was going to pop up the cloud, but I forgot until after I had already glued it down.
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Kraft and White cardstock
Lime Twist "Life of the Party" 6x6 paper stack
Pink By Design Spring Has Sprung stamp set
Divine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder

I've been getting a lot of e-mails lately asking what kind of printer I use for my digital papers. I currently use an Epson Workforce 1100 printer.
This printer allows me to print a full 12x12 page. It is actually quite large. My Cricut Image is to the right of it, so you can kind of see how big it is. It only takes two ink cartridges. The cartridges are more expensive than most, but I've found that it takes me a LONG time to go through a set. I've had this for over a year and have only changed the ink twice now.

Here are a couple more digital papers that I've recently printed. These are digital papers from Shery K Designs.

I highly recommend this printer. I purchased it when it was on sale, I can't remember exactly how much now, but I think around $169 or so. I really like the colors that come from Epson printers. :)

Well, that's it for today! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

My Creative Time :: 3-D Wednesday!

It's Wednesday! I love Wednesdays...especially this one, since I have a three day weekend this weekend! :) But also because over at My Creative Time, it's time for another 3-D Wednesday! I always enjoy creating a 3-D item, because most of my time is spent creating cards. So this changes it up a little bit for me.

For today's project, I decided to make a simple but still adorable little Easter gift! Actually, I can't say this was simple. It took me FOREVER to get my ribbon and bow to look right! ;)
I purchased the clear box from Jaded Blossom. It's about 1 3/8 x 1 3/8 x 4 1/4 inches. And fit's these Ghirardelli milk and coconut eggs, perfectly!
Supplies:
My Creative Time Hello Spring stamp set and dies
My Creative Time Happy Hunting stamp set
Stampin' Up Whisper White and Green Galore cardstock
Stampin' Up White embossing powder
Stampin' Up Green Galore ink
Ribbon (from Hobby Lobby)
Divine Twine

Happy Wednesday!

Peachy Keen Tuesday :: PEEPS!

On my blog, I'm going to try and do a "peachy project" every Tuesday! I have a ton of these adorable peachy faces, stamps, and dies. I need to start using them more. You can check all of the fabulous Peachy Keen products HERE.

Can you believe it's almost Easter? I found this cute little shape in my Silhouette library. It reminded me of peeps...and one of the sentiments on the Jaded Blossom Easter stamp set Easter Treats!
I welded four of the bunny shapes together and then deleted the faces, because I wanted them to have some cutie patootie little faces...like these ones! Then I used the offset feature to create the shadow layer for them. Silhouette Studio makes this sooo easy to do, and the Cameo just cuts everything perfectly!
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Dark Chocolate, Lemon Tart, Berry Sorbet and Aqua Mist cardstock
Lime Twist Life of the Party 6x6 paper stack
Jaded Blossom Flag Die

My Creative Time :: Imagine That Sketch Challenge!

Good morning! And welcome to another My Creative Time Monday Madness...Imagine That! This week we are hosting a sketch challenge! All you have to do is create a project based on the following sketch. You can flip any of the elements, but the project must still follow it. The twist for this challenge is that you can only use your Imagine for the printed paper...no cutting! The easiest way to do this is to make sure in your settings, the machine is set to print only. :) Oh and make sure you set it back to print and cut when you are done, so it is set correctly for your next project!
And with that...here is my card!
Supplies:
Country Carnival Cricut Imagine cartridge
PaperTrey Ink Kraft, Dark Chocolate, and Vintage Cream cardstock
My Creative Time You are Perk-fect stamp set
PaperTrey Ink Dark Chocolate ribbon

Don't forget to head on over to My Creative Time and link up your projects! Remember, even if you don't own an Imagine, you are still welcome to join in our challenge. Just use some patterned paper on your project!

We can't wait to see what you come up with!

*EDIT*
I'm so sorry, I forgot to mention that I used a Martha Stewart border and corner punch combo for the border around the top layer! I can't remember the name, but it is one that I probably purchased from Joann's. :)

My Creative Time :: Imagine That and a Link Up Party!

I can't believe it's Monday already! It seems like these days are just flying by and before we know it, kids will be out of school and summer will be in full swing! :)

Today, over at My Creative Time, it's time for another Imagine That episode! Today's challenge comes with a twist, it's a color challenge!

We are all required to use the colors pink, gray, white and black on our project!
So with that...here's my project for today!
For this card, I printed the both the polka dot and the clock Imagine patterns out on the Raspberry Fizz pink cardstock and then printed the clock pattern out again on white. Then I took some different size circle punches and just punched a few of the clocks out, so the pink would show through. Super easy!
Supplies:
My Creative Time My One and Only stamp set
PaperTrey Ink Black, White, and Raspberry Fizz cardstock
Bazzill gray textured cardstock
Teresa Collins Black & White Imagine cartridge
Martha Stewart punch

Emma is also hosting Mr. Linky over on her blog! If you'd like to join in, just follow the color scheme and link up your projects. You'll have one week to complete the project!

*Remember, if you don't own an Imagine, just use patterned paper in your project. You're still welcome to join in!*

We can't wait to see what you come up with!

I hope you all have a Sham-rockin' day!

My Creative Time :: March Release Blog Hop!

It's Friday! And it's time for the big My Creative Time March Release Blog Hop! If you've arrived here Miss Glora's blog, you're hopping in the right direction! If by chance you've just ended up here, head on over to Emma's blog to start at the beginning of the hop!

For this month's blog hop, I get to showcase the new stamp set Coffee Break! I just LOVE this set - and especially the little die that comes with it! It's perfect!
I created my card base on my Gypsy using a rectangle from George and Basic shapes and a border from the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art cartridge. All I did was hide the scallop cuts on both the front and back of the card base and welded them together. Then I created a layer for the top with the scallop cuts actually cut out. This way, it would give me an accent color.

Supplies:
My Creative Time Coffee Break
My Creative Time You are Perk-fect
Stampin' Up Early Espresso and Crumb Cake cardstock
PaperTrey Ink Vintage Cream cardstock
Misc Bazzill cardstock
Stampin' Up Spice Cake designer cardstock

My Creative Time :: March Stamp Release Sneaky Peek Day #2

Time for another sneaky peek over at My Creative Time! I hope you are all enjoying the peeks and getting some inspiration to make something with your new stamps to link up on Friday! I'm sure there's something special in store for the link up party! ;)

For today's sneak peek, I am showcasing a stamp set called Do the Cocoa Motion
I just LOVE it!!

I saw this tutorial on you tube a while back, and I'm sure there are several people out there that have created these, so I can't take credit for it. I did personalize my sizes to fit a little bit better.

The base starts at 7 3/4 x 8 1/2". I scored the 7 3/4" side at 3 3/4" and 4 1/4".
I then scored the opposite side at 2 1/2". This will make the section that holds the hot chocolate mix.
I did use the Red Sticky Tape to make sure it would hold tight.

Supplies:
My Creative Time Do the Cocoa Motion stamp set
PaperTrey Ink Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream, and Kraft cardstock
Misc cardstock (Bazzill and Stampin' Up) from my stash
Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge (Gypsy) to hide some cuts
QuickCuts Beads Embossing Folder
Cuttlebug Divine Swirls and Tiny Bubbles Embossing Folders
Ribbon Boutique Ribbon
Recollections Pearls
Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate Mix

Just wanted to espresso my thanks!

Good morning! Today I am a guest blogger on the Everyday Cricut blog! I've been following Everyday CricutJoy, and Melanie for a long time, so I was ecstatic to be chosen! For today's project I just wanted to say thank you for allowing me to participate at such a fabulous blog!
I made a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch card with Stampin' Up Early Espresso cardstock. The Very Vanilla layer was cut a 1/4 inch smaller and embossed with the Sizzix Texturz backgrounds #1.
I used the Love you a Latte Cricut lite cart for both the mat and frame and the espresso machine. The frame was cut from my Gypsy at just under 4 inches. I used Stampin' Up Early Espresso, Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Lucky Limeade cardstock for the cuts. I inked the edges of the frame with some Early Espresso ink.
The stamp I used is from the fabulous My Creative Time stamp set Classy & Fabulous which you can view HERE. I masked out the espresso from the stamp, since it is already on the cut. :) I used some small Stampin' Up pearls to accent the frame and finished it off with a small twine bow. I just love this Chocolate Truffle twine from Trendy Twine! And with that, that's all for my post today!

But wait, there's also a
GIVEAWAY!

As a design team member for Emma over at My Creative Time, I am giving away some must have blog candy!! It's the Happy Hunting stamp set, courtesy of Emma over at My Creative Time!
This is one of the sets from Emma's newest release and is perfect for those Easter projects coming up! All you have to do is leave a comment both HERE and on the Everyday Cricut blog post and a way to contact you!

You can also head on over to my Facebook fan page for even more updates!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!!

Is it springtime yet?!

Hello Spring, wherever you are!! Springtime is my favorite season. I can tell it's my kiddos too...they cannot wait to get those shorts on and start playing outside again! When I picked up this Hello Spring stamp set, I KNEW I had to use this sentiment!
I found these adorable little butterflies at the Silhouette online store. I cut them with my Silhouette Cameo but didn't use the smallest one. Only because I made them too big! But I couldn't waste a cut this cute, so I decided to use the larger two for my card. :)

I cut the clouds with my Cameo too and embossed them with the Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder. The grass is from a Martha Stewart border punch.
Supplies:
Stampin' Up Crumb Cake, Pool Party and White smooth cardstock
Stampin' Up Real Red and Pretty in Pink cardstock
PaperTrey Ink Simply Chartreuse cardstock
My Creative Time Hello Spring stamp set
Stampin' Up Pearls

So, c'mon springtime!!

You Crack Me Up!

Today I am showcasing two of My Creative Time's stamp sets! The Hello Spring and the Color Me Happy stamp set. The Color Me Happy set is one of Emma's first sets...an oldie, but a goodie!
I used my Silhouette Cameo and the Silhouette Designer Edition software to create the card shape. The cut is a background or frame (sorry, I can't remember!) from the Silhouette online store. I took two of the shapes, welded them together to create the base. I cut the top again as an individual layer, so I had the full shape for the front of the card. Hope that makes a little sense!

I am still in ♥ with how the Cameo cuts! It never ceases to amaze me of how well it can cut the smallest of details or larger cuts perfectly. I definietly recommend the Cameo and either the Silhouette DE software or Make the Cut. Either one will allow you to import all of those cute SVG files that are popping up all over the place!
Supplies:
Stampin' Up Crumb Cake and Pool Party cardstock
Echo park Springtime 6x6 paper stack
Memento ink
Copics

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

My Creative Time :: Throwback Thursday Challenge!

Good morning! Today over at My Creative Time it's time for another Throwback Thursday challenge! Today's challenge is a CRICUTLESS challenge! (So no Cricuts or Cameos for that matter!) ;) Make a card or layout the "Old School" style instead!

So here is my project for the challenge. I decided to use a couple different texture plates that I had just purchased from Stampin' Up. I ♥ the touch that embossing adds to a project!

I tried to get a couple pictures with my micro lens to show the details of the texturz plates. It looks so much better in person though!

PaperTry Ink Vintage Cream cardstock
My Creative Time "Inspiring Words and Inspiring Words {Accents}" stamp sets
Sizzix Perfect Details Texturz plates
PaperTry Ink Vintage Cream ribbon
