Happy Birthday!

Good morning!

January is full of birthdays and I have yet another birthday card to share today!
This adorable clown is from the Cute Little Circus file by Too Cute by Jessica. I decided to hide the face cuts so I could stamp one of these super cute little Peachy Keen Stamps faces on it instead. Then I used Copic markers to color it in. This has got to be one of the cutest little clowns ever! :)

Another Happy Birthday!!

Good morning! Who's up for another birthday card?! Today is my mom's birthday!

Happy Birthday Mom!
I hope your day is wonderful!
For the birthday card today, I wanted to add a little dimension with a simple frame. I created a 4.25 x 4.25 square card within Silhouette Studio and used the Peachy Keen SVG outline for the size of the chef in order to know how big to make the frame.
I cut the frame out 4 times (3 times out of plain white card stock and once out of a white patterned card stock) and just glued them together. Easy Peasy!

The chef is from the January 2014 Stamp of the Month. I stamped both him and the cupcake on X-press It Blending Paper and colored in his face with Copic Markers. I wanted to paper piece the rest of the outfit and the cupcake. So I picked out some misc card stock and added some shadows with more Copic Markers. I added a birthday sentiment from Jaded Blossom's So Many Birthdays stamp set and my little heart on top is covered with some glossy accents!

Neenah Solar White card stock

Happy Birthday Braxton!!

Good morning bloggers! Today is my nephew Braxton's 4th birthday!

Happy Birthday Braxton!!

Braxton is a fan of Bumble the Yeti. And of course since he has a winter birthday, I figured I could totally pull off a winter themed birthday card. :)
Today's card is another shaker card. I used the Lawn Fawn Large and Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables to create a frame to hold my sequins. I popped it up on two pieces of foam tape to give it enough room to shake. :) For the background, I used a new technique (for me) using a stencil and some embossing paste to create the snowfall.
The Bumble Yeti is from Paper Piecings by Nikki. The snow banks were cut from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders. The sequins are a mixture of both Neat & Tanged and Pretty Pink Posh, and my sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom So Many Birthdays stamp set.
 Supplies:
Neenah Soloar White cardstock

Studio Calico acetate
Jaded Blossom So Many Birthdays

You're Engaged!

Good morning! Today I have a special card to share. A good crafty friend of mine got engaged over the Christmas holiday. And of course, that's something to celebrate!

Congrats Ronda and Jon! :)
For the engagement card I used the Love Always kit from SVG Cuts. I'm glad they included an engagement type file in one of their kits...because it was exactly what I was looking for.
The card is sized to the standard A2 size. I modified it to create a couple extra layers for both the front and inside of the card. I really wanted to use glitter paper for the ring, but it is usually pretty difficult to adhere to other layers. I used TomBow Mono Aqua Liquid Glue and it seemed to work okay. There were a few pieces that gave me a little trouble but I finally got them with a bit of extra glue.
I adhered some vellum to the front of the card with some Ranger Multi Medium Matte. Love how you can hardly tell I used it. :)
I stamped the sentiment on the inside using the Jaded Blossom The Perfect Match stamp set and added some glitter enamel stickers to finish it off.

Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink white card stock
Bo Bunny Head Over Heels 6x6 paper stack
DCWV Foil Stack 6x6 paper stack
DCWV Twinkle Glints 6x6 paper stack

Make Today SUPER!

Good morning...and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Since 2014 came and went so fast, it's that time again to think about resolutions and starting over with a clean slate...
And I hope you ALL Make Today SUPER!
I have so many stamps that there are some brands that I haven't even gotten around to using! So today, I pulled out the Super stamp and Super Dies 1 and 2 sets from Paper Smooches. Aren't they adorable? (And then after I had been reminded of just how great these stamps are, I had to go a place another order!)

For today's card, I created a standard A2 sized card. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle and Stitched Circle Dies to create the top layers for my card. I cut the little super hero out on X-press It Blending paper, stamped the image, and colored it in with Copics. For the city scape silhouette behind him, I used the die set and cut them out of some black card stock.
I wanted to fill in the little "windows" of the dies with some yellow. Which brought me to another technique that I hadn't done for a long time...some inking with Tim Holtz Distress Inks! After that was all said and done, I decided I needed to ink up the night sky too. :)

For the sentiment, I used the My Favorite Things Simply Fabulous Sayings stamp set and the Paper Smooches Super set. I added some foam tape to the back of the white layer to pop it up and some enamel dots to finish it off.
