Gatlin's Journey :: You're dog-gone awesome!!

Good Morning!!

So while scrolling through Facebook a while back I came across a little boy named Gatlin. In November, on his way to school, he was involved in a tragic accident. The accident claimed the life of this young father.
You can read all about his family's story HERE.
The family also has a GoFundMe page set up which you can find HERE.

While reading through one of the updates his mom had posted, I read the he had been given a puppy from Build-A-Bear to help him through his lengthy recovery. They named the puppy JL.

I've been following his story for the past couple of months and decided I wanted to send this brave little boy a card with a puppy to match his JL. I'm sending a ton of cyber prayers his way that he continues to recover and can get back home to his family!
I created the card base and layers in Silhouette Studio. The adorable little puppy is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Super Dog cut file. I did add a little black patch to one of his eyes. :)
The sentiment and little paw prints come from the Jaded Blossom Dog-Gone Awesome stamp set.
Gatlin should be receiving his card any day now and I hope it cheers him up just a little! I even believe he is doing well enough to be released home this weekend! I'll continue to pray for this sweet family!

Pretty Cute Stamps :: Gift Giving Challenge

Good morning! It's so nice to be back in my craft room, and just in time to get some Christmas projects done!

Today's card is one I am entering into the Pretty Cute Stamps Gift Giving Challenge
I created the card base in Silhouette Studio by welding some circles together. I used the offset feature to make the additional layers. This adorable little chickie is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Cute Chicks cut file.
But of course, it's almost December, so I had to make this little chickie into a Santa chick! The hat is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Santa Birdie. I just resized it to fit. The gifts are from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Birthday Critters cut file.
I used the Pretty Cute Stamps Dear Santa stamp set for my sentiment. I stamped it with Versamark Ink and embossed it with White embossing powder. I trimmed it up and used the WeR Memory Keepers 1/8" corner rounder to round the corners. To finish of my Santa hat, I used some Liquid Applique on it and then added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins to the card.
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Kraft cardstock
Echo Park Christmas Cheer 6x6 paper pad

Gobble 'Til You Wobble!!

Hey there crafters...guess who?! I'm back on my blog today with a new project!

And of course, since Thanksgiving is just a week away, I figured I'd start back up with a card featuring this adorable little turkey from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.
I created the card base and oval layer from files in my Silhouette Library.
The turkey is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Turkey Lollipop Cut File. I just took off the base so I could only use the little turkey. :)
Both sentiments are from the Pretty Cute Stamps Turkey Time and I embossed both with WOW! Gold embossing powder.

Happy Birthday with a cherry on top!

Good morning! Today, I just want to share a quick card I made for the current Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons challenge.

You can find all the details about the challenge HERE. The theme for this month is to create any cooking or food-themed project. So...I went with a cupcake!
I used the Stitched Shapes cut files to create the layer for my background. The card is a 5x5 inch square card.

To make my cupcake, I combined several Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon cut files. The cupcake is from the Valentine Sweets set. But since I didn't really want the hearts on top, I used the cherry from the Waffle Cone Set. And finally, what's a cupcake without some sprinkles? So I grabbed them from the Sprinkled Cake Cone set. :)

To finish it off, I added a Jaded Blossom sentiment and some sequins!

Wishing You Christmas Cheer!

And I'm back with ANOTHER Christmas project! For this one, I wanted to try a shaker card. I've seen them all over lately and I have yet to try it.

It seems like it'd be something I could take on for the challenge over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons this month!

And...here it is!
I LOVE how it turned out! The card is a standard A2 sized card. To make the shaker window, I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Photo Frames 1 Cutting File. (I did change the size of the opening a little bit within Silhouette Studio to create the size I needed.) I added some clear acetate to the opening and popped it up on some foam tape.
Inside my window I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Birch Tree Trunks Cutting File. I was a little hesitant at first, because for as small as I needed them (and the fact I hadn't used my Cameo in over 5 months) I didn't know if they would cut very well. Well, look how great the Cameo did! For the sentiment and snow flakes, I used the Pretty Cute Stamps Christmas Cheer stamp set. :)

This adorable little snowman is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Sweet Snowman Cutting File. I used Silhouette Studio to hide his face so I could add a little peachy face to him!
I added some different colored sequins from Neat & Tangled and sealed it all up!
 Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink white card stock
Doodlebug Designs Frosty Friends 6x6 paper stack
Clear Acetate
Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Photo Frames 1
Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Birch Tree Trunks
Pretty paper, Pretty Ribbons Sweet Snowman
Pretty Cute Stamps Christmas Cheer
Peachy Keen Stamps Happy Lashes Face Assortment

Don't forget, there is still a little bit of time to join in the PPPR challenge too, just follow the link HERE!

And again, enjoy your Christmas Day!

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons "Just YUMMY" Blog Hop!!

Good Morning!
And welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Just YUMMY Blog Hop!

If you've just come from Gloria's blog, then you're hopping in the right direction. If not, head on over to Lisa's blog to start at the beginning of the hop!

For today's hop, we are using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons to create projects with a YUMMY theme!

I decided to use this adorable little mouse from the Birthday Critters cut files holding this super yummy cupcake!
I used a file from the Layered Labels 3 cutting files to create the base for my card. In order to create the flat top of my card, after I welded the two pieces together I released the compound path and deleted the extra circles. I did modify the cupcake to make it smaller. This way it fits on my standard sized card. And of course, Jaded Blossom has the perfect sentiment on the Hey Cupcake stamp set!
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Kraft cardstock
Doodlebug Designs Sugar Shoppe 6x6 paper stack
