PPPR Design Team post...and some baby cards!

Thank goodness it's Wednesday! Hey...once again I'm just glad it's not Monday! :)

This morning I've got another Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons design team post to share.
There are a couple of 'welcome baby' cards that I need to make and after coming across this adorable little Jack-in-the-Box from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Santa's Helpers cut file, I decided to use it for both of them!
I created the base of the card with a label shape in my Silhouette Library. The top layer is a simple rounded rectangle.

Have a kick-butt birthday!

Good morning! Today, I've got a super special card to share with you! It happens to be my oldest son's 13th birthday! :) He doesn't read my blog (at least I don't think so) but,

Happy Birthday Damien!

He is our little (okay...our big) karate kid! He is still working on getting his blue belt and it's getting really close. There is a lot of work and dedication that goes into the Kenpo Karate program he is in and he is determined to get it just as soon as his instructor says it's time to test.

So when I found this super cute little Karate Kid From Annie over at SVG Cutting Files, I just had to use it! I actually purchased the file a while back on Etsy, but it is available on her website now. :)
I used the Wave Card Base for my card. I did flip it to work with my karate kid a little better. I used the individual belt from the cut file and just sized it down to fit my little guy.
I decided to use the print and cut feature of my Silhouette Cameo to create the sentiment. I just used a couple different fonts, and then lined them up on the shape where I wanted it to print. I printed it on a piece of patterned 6x6 paper and then cut it out. Super easy...and it allows you to create any sentiment you could think of!

Stampin' Up Blush Blossom cardstock
Carta Bella Traditions 6x6 paper stack

And that's it for today, have a great Tuesday!

Guess how much I love you?

Yay for Fridays! I'm so looking forward to the weekend, where I hope to be doing some major scrapbooking. I am beginning the Project Life system and I can't wait to get started! I'm only about 11 years behind right now, and Project Life is the perfect solution for me. :) I'm not working on the weekly spread, but instead using the system for my kiddos scrapbooks.

I'm only waiting on some negatives that I am having scanned into digital files by Persnickety Prints.
And then I'll be able to order some images that I have misplaced at one time or another. I hope to get some PL inserts put into place first. :)

But, today, I've got another super cute card to share with you! I've been enjoying cutting out the cute files over at Miss Kate Cuttables. :) And even though it's the day after Valentine's Day, here is somewhat of a non-traditional colored Valentine. But adorable none-the-less!
For my card base, I used Silhouette Studio to weld a circle and a rounded square together. Then did some flipping and more welding to create the base.
I used some Maraschino Cherry Twine from the Twinery for my balloon ribbon.

PaperTrey Ink Ocean Tides cardstock

Hap-bee Valentine's Day!

Hap-bee Valentine's Day!
Isn't this Valentine the cutest? I almost didn't send it to my sister. :)
This adorable little bee is a cut file from Kate over at Miss Kate Cuttables. She has some super cute cut files. And not only the cutesy girl stuff, but she has boy files too and sometimes those are hard to find! This was offered as a freebie on February 9th.
I used another free file for my card base. This file can be found over at September Ninth. Ruthie has been offering up some fabulous Hello Kitty SVG files and now some card bases. They are perfect! :)
This is another project I used the print and cut feature on my Cameo for the sentiment.

Have a moo-velous day!

Guess what...it's Wednesday! We're half way through another week. :) But not only that, it's time for another Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons DT post!
And today, I've used that super cute little cow from the new Moovelous cutting file!
I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Layered Lables 1 cutting files to create the layers for my card. I designed and cut everything with Silhouette Studio and my Cameo.

You've been struck by cu-pig!

Good morning! Are you ready for another Valentine project?

I couldn't resist cutting one of the piggies from the Lettering Delights Hogs and Kisses cut sets. :) And I knew exactly what I wanted my sentiment to say, but unfortunately I don't have a stamp that says this...so I had to use the print and cut feature on my Cameo to create it myself.

Isn't it perfect?
I used the Pretty paper, Pretty Ribbons Layered Labels 1 cutting files to create the card base in Silhouette Studio. The card base measures 5 inches x 5 inches.
To create the print and cut file, I just took the base layer and added the font to it. You have to make sure the line color and fill color match (in my case I chose black) to have a well printed sentiment on patterned or colored paper.

The pink layer is from a 6x6 paper stack, so I just used some TomBow Repositionable adhesive to stick it to my 8 1/2 x 11 inch standard paper. I've tried to cut the paper down to a 6x6, but I've found that it shrinks my file down. Not sure if it was something I had done, but I know I hadn't changed the size. :) Then feed the paper through the printer, then the cameo and voila!

That's it for today! Hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday!

I had so much fun printing this sentiment, that I've created another project using this same technique for my post on Thursday...so don't forget to stop back by!

A couple Valentine projects!

Happy Monday! This morning I've got a couple of Valentine's to share. It's always so hard to make stuff for my kiddos, because they are getting older and well, there isn't much older "boy" stuff out there. :)

I was able to find something over at SVG Cuts that worked perfectly!
These super cute little sports Valentine's can be found in the 24 Valentines SVG Kit. I created the cards in Make The Cut. (Yes, I finally caved and got a PC just for my Make The Cut.) It's just a little laptop and it runs Windows 8 which is driving me crazy! I was going to get the Microsoft Surface Pro, but for the price, I wanted more storage. Everything works perfectly and I get to use my most favorite SVG cutting program with my Silhouette Cameo.
I created the 4x4 square card base with rounded corners.
 Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Vintage Cream cardstock
Simple Stories Awesome 6x6 paper stack
Misc Bazzill cardstock

Have a great Monday!
