Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons :: Let's get stuffed!

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is tomorrow?! This year has just flown by for me. Before I know it, it'll be Christmas!

Today I'm sharing another Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons DT post!
If you haven't already, you've got to check out all the super cute new cut files that Lisa has available! And don't forget the digi papers too!

For my project, I decided to use the Thanksgiving Feast cut files. With this latest release Lisa included a print and cut face if we wanted to use it. I have to say...using the print and cut face was PERFECT! Those little facial features can be a bugger if you have to cut them small enough for your image to go on a standard sized card. :)

So I used the print and cut feature to print the face and the body, so that the skin tones would match. I also decided to print and cut the turkey. :)
The background shape is a label shape from the Silhouette Online store. I created a shadow by using the offset feature. The corner pieces are from an old Stampin' Up punch.
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Black, White, and Pure Poppy cardstock
Core'dinations
American Craft white textured cardstock (print and cut)
My Mind's Eye Lavender 6x6 paper stack
Echo Park Happy Days 6x6 paper stack
Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon Thanksgiving Feast cut files
My Creative Time Mixed Holiday Sentiments
iRock and black gems

It might be wise of you all to check out Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons this Friday too. ;) Just sayin'!

Oh and you also might want to take advantage of a sale going on over at My Creative Time this Friday!
I've also heard there will be a blog hop and prizes...and those prizes are guaranteed to be fabulous. My Creative Time stamps and sentiments go PERFECTLY with the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons cut files!

I hope you all have a fabulous day! And if you are traveling for the big day tomorrow, stay safe!

I made the base of the card with a shape in the Make The Cut library. I duplicated the shape, mirrored it and then welded the two sides together the create the base. The top layer was created with the internal shadow feature, and the rectangle is another shape from the library. I cut out all the shapes using my Silhouette Cameo.

This adorable octopus is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Sea Life Cutting Files! Isn't just the cutest, ever?! I cut it out using Core'dinations cardstock.
The pattern paper comes from the My Mind's Eye Nostalgia 6x6 paper stack. The crinkle ribbon is of course from 3 Girl Jam and I used the Antique White and Aqua Splash colors to create a double looped bow. I finished it off with some hemp twine and a kraft button.

The tag was created using the My Creative Time Teeny Tag Greetings stamp and die set.

Good morning! I've got a super quick card to share with you all this morning. My sister needed a card (like yesterday) so it had to be something quick, but still super cute. So look at this sad little sunflower!

Now, this is totally not my idea, it came from my DT sister Kimberly over at Scrapin' Mom of one Inspiring Little Boy. :) You can see her original post here!
The sunflower stem was cut with my Expression 2 using the Stretch You Imagination cartridge. I printed the sentiment from my computer, and I forgot to take note of the font, but I really like it! You might be seeing more of it too! :)

We go together like Milk and Cookies!

Good morning! I hope that so far your week is off to a fantastic start! Mine isn't going so well, just because it's super busy at work right now. But, it supports my crafting habit so I gotta stick with it! :)

This morning I've got a super cute project to share using some fabulous Jaded Blossom stamps and a new cut file from Stinkin' Cute Paper Piecings. I saw this file on Facebook and popped right over to get it because not even two second before, I had been checking out the new stamps from Candace and Michelle at Jaded Blossom. I love the new "Milk and Cookies" set and this cut file couldn't have come at a better time!

Oh and another note, Jaded Blossom stamps will now be manufactured by Peachy Keen stamps. Peachy Keen stamps have simply the BEST quality! I can't wait to see the new ones!
I chose to hide the face pieces and use a super cute Peachy Keen face instead. Isn't this just sooo cute? I couldn't decide if my milk carton was too plain or not, so I wasn't even sure I wanted to post a picture of it. I guess the little peachy face got the best of me. ;)

PaperTrey Ink White cardstock
Stampin' Up Cherry Cobbler cardstock

My Creative Time :: Hi!

If you're looking for my BIG GIVEAWAY post, click HERE!

Good morning fellow crafty friends! Anyone in the mood for a super cute project featuring some My Creative Time and Peachy Keen stamps?! Well, here it is!
This adorable little girl is from the Just For You SVG file over at Bear Hugs by Art and Scraps. I decided to add this peachy little face from the Princess Faces assortment. It's just sooo cute! And I love how she is holding her little bouquet of flowers behind her back! ;)

The background paper is from a Core'dinations stack. I embossed it with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and then sanded it down. The layer behind this sweet little girl was created in the Silhouette Studio with a rectangle and an oval. I simply welded it together and created a couple layers. I used white PaperTrey Ink cardstock for the base and My Mind's Eye On the Bright Side 6x6 paper stack for the pattern paper. I cut the little girl out with some Stampin' Up Blush blossom.
This perfect little tag comes from Emma's stamp set Teeny Tag Greetings with coordinating dies and the yummy hemp twine is from Liz over at  Liz's PaperLoft Boutique. :)

And that's it for today! Don't forget to stop back by tomorrow, I'll have another new project to share. And then there's my BIG GIVEAWAY! Check out all the details on that and keep spreading the word! Let's get my followers and Facebook fans up so I can giveaway these fabulous prizes! :)

My Creative Time :: Guest Designer!

Happy Monday! Wow! Can you believe that it is July already? My kiddos were asking me just the other day where June had gone. :) I guess during summer vacation when all you do is sit around, time must go by pretty quickly! For me, the days seem to drag on, especially during the summer and I'm stuck at work!

As most of you know, Emma is taking some time off to take care of her son, Aaron. He was released from the hospital the other day, but she still has a lot to deal with and so we will continue taking over for her, until she is ready to come back!

For my project today, I created cards for both her and baby Aaron! Let's all keep praying that little Aaron gets all healed up and back to his carefree summer vacation, just as any other 12 year old!
For this card, I created the base of the card in my Silhouette Studio DE with some basic circles. Once I had the first row of four, I then duplicated it three more times to get four rows of circles. Then from there, select all of them and weld them together! I deleted any extra spaces between the circles, because I wanted the base to be basically a blackout. Once you have that, just duplicate once more, flip and move to the top to create the complete card. I always use the internal offset feature to create the different layers, it works beautifully.
The square layer was created with the rounded corner square/rectangle feature. I sized it to where it would fit perfectly in the center of my card.
 Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Kraft and Vintage Cream cardstock
My Mind's Eye Nostalgia 6x6 paper stack
Core'dinations
Lettering Delights Peep Squeakers cut files
Silhouette Studio (card base and square layer)
My Creative Time Floral Sentiments
My Creative Time Pain, Pain Go Away

For Aaron's card, I had to really think about what he might like! It's so much harder to create boy themed cards, because of all the cute little frilly embellishments that are out there now! ;) But while searching through the Silhouette Studio files, I came across this fabulous came controller! Now if Aaron is anything like my own 12 year old, he is definitely into games!
For the card base, I again took the base layer, duplicated and flipped it, lined it up and welded them together.
I added some black faux stitching to the white layer and some white Jelly Roll pen stitching to the buttons. It looked really plain to me. Then I popped up all of the buttons with pop dots.
I also decided to add some Glossy Accents to the colorful buttons on the right, to add just a little dimension to them. Since I used a darker cardstock for my card base, I just duplicated the red layer for the inside of the card, so I could write Aaron a little message.
 Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Smokey Shadow, White and Pure Poppy cardstock
Stampin' Up Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green and Midnight Muse cardstock
Misc Bazzill red cardstock
Silhouette Studio Library (card base)
My Creative Time Pain, Pain Go Away

I hope Emma and Aaron are doing much better, now that they are back at home!
