Merry Christmas Eve!!

Can you believe it is Christmas Eve already! My kids are beyond excited...and so am I. :) Hubby brought out my gifts last night, I just LOVE Christmas!

We are tracking Santa at http://www.noradsanta.org/en/ and right now he is Moscow Russia! My boys just love checking this website to see Santa's progress. You and your kiddos should definitely check it out too!

My husband has set the tradition that we open our gifts on Christmas Eve and then leave them under the tree for Santa to see what we opened when he delivers his gifts. So the boys are very "impatiently" waiting until dad gets off work probably around 8:30-9 tonight and then they get to dig in! And then after that, it's bedtime because...

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve and a very Merry Christmas tomorrow! I can't wait to see all my crafty friends will make with their Christmas goodies!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Peachy Keen Stamps :: Sketch Challenge 67 - Designer's Choice

Well, it's time for another sketch challenge over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog! For this weeks challenge, we get to chose to make whatever we want, as long as we use some Peachy Keen stamps! (Which is totally fine by me!) I'm still trying to play with all the newest stamps and coordinating Kut Out products that I purchased a while back. I keep running out of time though. :) I was able to make a layout and decided to use it for this project...these little elves are just TOO cute!

Winter treats and some new Jaded Blossom stamps!

For my blogoversary and giveaway post click HERE! Don't forget, you have until 12:00 a.m. PST tonight to comment and get your name in the drawing for some My Creative Time stamps and some other goodies!!

I'm sure many of you know Candace from Papercrafts by Candace and Michelle from Scrappin' with my bug; well they have teamed up together to create Jaded Blossom! And for those stamp addicts (like myself) they have released their first set of stamps! And these aren't just ANY stamps, they are stamps that cater towards party planning and favors! I was able to get my hands on them and I definitely recommend them. They are excellent quality and stamp perfectly. They are also stocking the clear bags in which to put your goodies. I purchased these cone shaped bags for my treats today from them as well. :)

Reindeer Poop

I used some red tulle, Candy Cane twine from Trendy Twine and a twist tie to close the bag. The  poem and reindeer image is stamped on PaperTrey Ink Kraft cardstock and are from the Jaded Blossom Reindeer Magic stamp set. I colored the reindeer with Copics and then used some distress ink for the edges of the tag. The tag is Spellbinders - Labels 2. Oh and I used chocolate covered raisins for the "poop," I mean candy. :)

Snowman Kisses

For my second set of treats, I used the Jaded Blossom Snowman Kisses stamp set and stamped them onto PaperTrey Ink Vintage Cream cardstock. The snowman was colored with some more Copic markers. I used Festive Berries distress ink around the edges. I closed these treat bags with white tulle, and Peapod and Pink Sorbet twine from the Twinery. These mints are the 'Mini Melt Away Mints' from Hickory Farms. :)

A tragic story and some sympathy cards.

If you're looking for my giveaway post click HERE!

During the last week of November, my step-daughter and her family traveled to Montana to attend her brother-in-law's wedding. On the way back home from the wedding, the new bride became sick. The day after she returned home, she was admitted into the hospital due to a stroke.  Unfortunately, she wasn't able to recover from it. She was 20 years old and had been married for five days. I can't even imagine what her young husband must be going through, and there are no words that I can even think of to say to him.

I was able to make some sympathy cards and wanted to share them.

For this card I used Kraft cardstock for the base and My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Hatti Papers for my patterned paper. I also used some Vintage Cream PaperTrey Ink cardstock. I created the rosette by cutting four strips of the patterned paper that were 1 1/2" x 6". The center of the rosette and the sentiment tag were created with the My Creative Time "Build a Banner" set, which you can purchase HERE. I used some PaperTrey Ink twine to attach the sentiment and then some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink around the edges. The sentiment is from the My Creative Time "Many Greetings" stamp set.

For this card, I used PaperTrey Ink Smokey Shadow cardstock for the base, some Vintage Cream cardstock and the same My Mind's Eye Hatti papers for the patterned paper. I used the My Creative Time Curly Label die for the sentiment. The sentiment is also from the My Creative Time "Many Greetings" stamp set. I used some Charcoal twine from the Twinery to attach the sentiment to the card and inked around the edges with some Tim Holtz Black Soot distress ink.

Hi all! I bet you're all getting into the Christmas spirit now! We're into the single digit countdown as my 9 year old son ever so slightly reminded me this morning. :) I just love this time of year, the kiddos are out of school for a while, it's snowy and cold outside; so I just LOVE to turn on the fireplace and snuggle up with the kiddos watching Christmas movies. Oh and craft of course!

I've had my blog just short of a year now. Actually, the 21st of this month is my blogoversary! So what better way to celebrate than to have a giveaway?! I've got an AWESOME sponsor for my giveaway too...My Creative Time!! Emma has graciously donated some goodies for my very first giveaway, EVER! And now... onto my very last project!

I chose to go with a gift holder for today's project! I found this super cute favor box on the Spring Holiday Cards Cricut cartridge. I sized it on my Gypsy so it was right at 11 1/2 inches in length. I used one of the layers on the same cartridge, but I made it smaller, so you could still see my patterned paper on the favor box itself. Because of this, I had to use the hide contour feature to hide the cut marks in the corner of the top layer and on the box itself. The paper is from the Winter Combo stack and the Merry Christmas stack by DCWV. I used some Timeless Twine to wrap around the box and then tie my sentiment on. I used the My Creative Time Curly Label die and the sentiment is from the MCT All Around Christmas stamp set. I also used that fabulous Tim Holtz Antique Photo distress ink to ink up the edges and give it a little vintage feel.

MCT 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS ~ DAY 11

Hello there again! And WELCOME to day ELEVEN of the My Creative Time 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop! If you've arrived here from Glora's blog, then you are headed in the right direction! If not, please start at Emma's blog HERE!

***12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS GIVE AWAY ALERT***

Yep, Emma released her 1st set of stamps one year ago! So make sure you are tuned in because this is ONE hop you do NOT want to miss!

Now...onto my project!

I'e made quite a few cards for this blog hop, so I wanted to try something different for today's project. Luckily, Emma has created many stamp sets that can be used for SO MANY different things! I decided to go with the "Honey Do List" stamp set this time! There is a sentiment on there that reads *holiday* and I figured I could come up with something clever to go with it! What do you think?!

For this project, I cut up some chipboard and covered with some paper from the DCWV Winter Wonder paper stack. The dimensions are 3 1/4 by 5 1/4 inches. Just large enough to fit some blank index cards in. I rounded the corners and then used my Cinch to bind it with a 3/4" o-wire. I just love that Cinch tool! Then I stamped the clipboard  with Stampin' Up Night of Navy ink on to PaperTrey Ink Enchanted Evening cardstock twice, so I could have the top of the clipboard for use over my "paper." Then I stamped it again onto the light patterned paper form the same paper stack. On the top of the clipboard I added some Glossy Accents to give it just a little something more. I cut my flowers from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge at 3 1/4, 3 and 2 3/4 inches. After I assembled them, I sprayed them with adhesive and added some Martha Stewart course glitter. I added some Denim twine from Treny Twine and some Offray Ribbon to the binding and this is my Holiday Ideas notepad!!

Yep, Emma released her 1st set of stamps one year ago! So make sure you are tuned in because this is ONE hop you do NOT want to miss!

Now...onto my project for today!

Who doesn't just LOVE My Creative Time stamps AND Peachy Keen Stamps?! They just go so well together! For this card, I used the Christmas Card Cricut cartridge and sized it on my Gypsy until it was right around 5x5 inches. Then I made a smaller layer for the patterned paper and layer inside my card. The cute little snowman is on the Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge and he was cut at 3 3/4 inches. I hid his face and used in a stamp from the Peachy Keen Winter Face assortment in it's place. I also used the hide contour feature to make the snowman's layers out of different colored patterned cardstock. I used PaperTrey Ink Pure Poppy cardstock for the base and Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas for the patterns.

This adorable sentiment is from My Creative Time "Mixed Holiday Sentiments" and I stamped it on a tag I cut from the MCT Build A Banner stamp and die set. The twine is Peapod and Maraschino colors from The Twinery.

MCT 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS ~ DAY 9

Hello there again! And WELCOME to day NINE of the My Creative Time 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop! If you've arrived here from Glora's blog, then you are headed in the right direction! If not, please start at Emma's blog HERE!

Yep, Emma released her 1st set of stamps one year ago! So make sure you are tuned in because this is ONE hop you do NOT want to miss!

Now...onto my project!

I'm still in the process of designing my Christmas cards for this year and so when I was creating projects for this blog hop, this was one of the finished projects. I really like this simple card and it would be easy to produce many of them. So...I think I may have found the design!

I used PaperTrey Ink Kraft cardstock for the card base (it is an A2 sized card) and the DCWV Christmas Combo stack for the patterned paper. The trees were cut from the Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge at 4 3/4 inch in height. I cut the top layer twice, hiding the opposite tree with my Gypsy, to get the two different patterns. I wrapped some Timeless Twine around the trees and on my tag.

I used the My Creative Time "Mixed Holiday Sentiments" for the stamp and the MCT Curly Label die for the tag and then inked both the tag and card with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I used some eyelets from my stash on the tag as well. To make my trees have some *snowcapped* tips, I sprayed the tip of the tree with some adhesive spray and then sprinkled Martha Stewart course and fine glitter on them. I did this to the ground as well.

Yep, Emma released her 1st set of stamps one year ago! So make sure you are tuned in because this is ONE hop you do NOT want to miss!

Now...onto my project!

For this project today, I strayed away from the Cricut and cut this super cute milk carton from SVG Attic with my Bosskut Gazelle. I just got my Silhouette Cameo, so I'm looking to sell the Gazelle, as I just don't care for it. It is a fabulous machine, but it doesn't work well with me. :) Anyway, I have purchased a ton of SVG files, and I need to start using them more!

The paper I used was from My Mind's Eye 'O Christmas Tree. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Festive Berries Distress Ink.

This super cute twine is the new Christmas twine from Timeless Twine. I used the My Creative Time "Fancy Frame stamp and die" set for the sentiment from MCT "Mixed Holiday Sentiments" and used a brad to attach it to the carton.

Yep, Emma released her 1st set of stamps one year ago! So make sure you are tuned in because this is ONE hop you do NOT want to miss!

Now...onto my peachy project! :)

For this card, I decided to go with a 4x8 inch card. So It makes it a little larger, but I wanted to use it as a  money holder too!

I found these stockings on the Gingerbread Cricut cartridge and cut them at 2 3/4". The cute little peachy faces are from the Peachy Keen "Happy Lashes" stamp assortment. The sentiment is from the My Creative Time stamp set "All Around Christmas." I used the MCT Build a Banner stamp and die set for the tag. The paper is all PaperTrey Ink and the patterned cardstock is from the DCWV Winter Wonder paper stack. I strung up my stockings with some Denim twine from The Twinery!

And look at this fabulous Martha Stewart border punch! I wonder why I haven't used it yet. I used the snowflakes cut from the punch on my little stockings. :)

Now...onto my project!

Miss Emma also has a FABULOUS "Gift Card Holder" die! And I use it for a lot of quick projects. For Christmas, I always end up purchasing a TON of gift cards. With a gift card you can never give the wrong gift! So I decided to make today's project another super simple one, especially for those last minute gift givers! (Like me!) With just a few different colors of papers and ribbons, you can make these customized gift card holders in a matter of minutes!

The paper is PaperTrey Ink and DCWV Christmas Combo paper stack. I used the My Creative Time "Gift Card Sentiments" for the sentiments. And then stamped "to" and "from" on the inside with the same stamp set. I forgot to take a pic of that though. :) I used some Tim Holtz Distress Ink and some sheer ribbon from Hobby Lobby to tie them up.

Now...onto my project!

What's Christmas without some treats?! The My Creative Time "All Around Christmas" stamp set is another one of my favorites! You can use them on SO many different projects. These are holiday Skittle sticks. I just wish these Skittles tasted like the original red and green Skittles, since those are my favorites! But an FYI, they don't! :(  I guess that left me enough to fill the Skittle sticks with though, right?!

This is one of my "go-to" tags on the Lacy Labels Cricut cartridge. I used Bazzill and the DCWV Christmas Combo stack for the papers. I stamped the images with Memento and used Copics to color them. A little bit of red tulle finishes them off!

Now...onto my project!

I am a card maker, so I HAVE to add cards into this hop! For this card, I wanted to use the My Creative Time stamp set, "Mixed Holiday Sentiments." I couldn't decide if I wanted to go with a heart theme or the home theme...I went with the home theme. :) I found this little house on the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge. I used the shadow layer to create the shaped card base. It is just under a 4x6 inch size. I cut a second shadow layer for the top, so I had the full layer to use. If that makes sense. All the papers are from PaperTrey Ink.

On my white *snow* layer, I sprayed the cardstock with adhesive spray and coated with with Martha Stewart fine glitter. And then added some glossy accent to the *windows*!

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge :: Sketch Challenge 66!

My second post today...whew! If you are looking for the My Creative Time 12 days of Christmas blog hop click HERE!

Todays card was made for the newest sketch challenge happening over at the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog!

The only rules are to follow the sketch and include the basic elements, but you are able to flip things around if you'd like. And you don't HAVE to use Peachy keen Stamps, so anyone can join in!

For my card I used the new SnowGirl stamp that coordinates with the Winter Character with Stocking Hat Kut Out die. I stamped her with Memento ink and then colored her in with Copic markers. I used a little bit of Glossy Accents on her eyes and for the ice. For her hat and mittens I used some Stickles. The patterned paper came from the DCWV Winter Combo stacks. I also used some Smokey Shadow and Enchanted Evening PaperTrey Ink cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Peachy Keen "Penguin Boy with Bobber" stamp set and cut it out with the My Creative Time "Oval Stitched Die." Then I used the Maraschino Trendy Twine to tie the sentiment onto the card to finish it up!
