Everyday Cricut :: Guest Designer Day 1!

Good Monday morning! I am so super excited today because this is the start of my guest designer week over at Everyday Cricut! I have always enjoyed all of the fabulous Cricut projects that both Joy and Melanie have day after day, not only on the Everday Cricut blog, but on their personal blogs as well!

I decided to start off with an Imagine project. This cut is from the new Imagine Word of Mouth art cartridge. I am totally in love with it, mainly because of all the fabulous sayings! And the colors are well...just perfect!
I used both a solid color and a pattern for the front of the card. And then added some super yummy burlap and hemp twine from Liz's PaperLoft Boutique. :) The buttons are from the Vintage Collection over at PaperTrey Ink. I also used pop dots to pop up the Be Happy saying.
And what's a fabulous card, without a fabulous sentiment?! These sentiments are from the Wow So Many Candles birthday stamp set over at My Creative Time.

A special card for my nephew!

Is it possible to use a Cricut AND a Cameo on one project? Why, yes it is! And didn't it turn out perfect?!

I made this super "cool" card for my nephew! I haven't been able to visit him for a while, and so I thought he needed a card. :)
On the Father's Day Cricut cartridge, there isn't the white background layer for the car. Since I wanted it filled in, I just adhered the white cardstock to it and cut around by hand. Worked perfectly. Although, I wish it would have had it on the cartridge. Or the option to blackout a cut in the Gypsy...that would be quite useful! And on another note, my E2 is still not working with my Gypsy. Provo Craft had me try the format and restore...did.not.work. Hmmm. Anyway, so I'm still using my trusty old Expression. Which by the way works perfectly 5 years later. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink White cardstock
Core'dinations cardstock
Bazzill White textured cardstock (for printing)
My Creative Time Here's Lookin' At You
Father's Day Cricut cartridge
Silhouette store for clouds and race flags
Sassy Designs Race Track digital paper pack
Martha Stewart grass punch

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday!! And don't forget...next week over on the My Creative Time blog, it's time for some sneaky peeks!! Stay tuned!

My Creative Time :: Throwback Thursday Challenge!

Hi there again! Today over at My Creative Time, it's time for the Throwback Thursday Challenge! The theme for the challenge this month is color! Using the following picture, create any type of project you want using the colors in the pic and ANY older Cricut cartridge!

Then head back on over to My Creative Time to link up your projects before June 20th. Easy peasy...we can't wait to see what you link up!
For my project today, I decided to use the Just Because Cricut cartridge. This super cute cut is on page 52. I actually had no idea what I wanted to do, until I saw this cut and thought that it went perfectly with this My Creative Time sentiment! Then...my Cricuts decided that they didn't want to play nice with me. So I spent all evening updating both my Expression and by E2. My E2 (even after updating) still only cuts one layer of the cut and then freezes. :( Not sure why and it's never done it before. So if anyone has any tips for me...I'm all ears! I wasn't able to get a hold of Provo Craft today, I'm hoping that I make it time tomorrow.
The Seeing Spots embossing folder is one of my all time favorites!
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Vintage Cream and Dark Chocolate
Stampin' Up Green Galore and Pool Party
Echo Park Happy Days 6x6 paper stack
My Creative Time What's Growing On?

Cuttlebug Seeing Spots embossing folder
Stampin' Up pearl

Don't forget to check out Emma's blog for more inspiration for your projects and then link up by June 20th!
