My Creative Time :: Monday Madness...Imagine That!

Good morning my sweet crafty friends! It's that time again...time again for another Monday Madness...Imagine That! Our challenge for today is to create a shaped card!

Today for my post, I am showcasing the My Creative Time stamp set "Keepin' It Classy" and the Imagine Vintage Papers Cricut cartridge! My sentiment comes from the fabulous "Classy & Fabulous" stamp set.

I found this shape on the Lacy Labels Cricut cartridge and welded two of them together to make my card. I cut it out on PaperTrey Ink Kraft cardstock. I cut the top layer twice, so that I had the full shape on the front. :) I printed the dark brown layer and top layer from the Imagine cartridge and then cut the shape out with my E2. The flowers were cut and printed from the Imagine cart and the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridges with my Imagine. I also used some "Chocolate Truffle" Twendy Twine and some Diamond Glimmer mist!

And because I was having SO much fun playing with my Imagine, I decided to make a second shaped card.

For this card, I actually used the Cricut Craft room to create the welded card. I cut and printed everything out with my Imagine. This cute little Rocket comes from the Blast Off Imagine Cricut cartridge. The card is about 5 1/2" tall. I used the My Creative Time "Teeny Tag Greetings" and dies for the sentiment and some PaperTrey Ink twine on my tags. I didn't like way the little window cut out on the rocket, so I made my own with the My Creative Time stitched circle die and stamped a cute little Peachy Keen stamp from the Cornies face assortment.

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

My Creative Time :: Throwback Thursday Challenge!

Welcome to another Throwback Thursday Challenge with My Creative Time and the design team! Today's challenge is a VALENTINE CHALLENGE! The challenge is to use any cartridge that has something to do with Valentine's day and create any project of your choice.

I found this sentiment on the My Creative Time stamp set "You Had Me at Chocolate" and went from there. The cupid is on the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge. The patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Love Me 6x6 paper stack, and the solids are Pure Poppy, Kraft and Vintage Cream from PaperTrey Ink. I cut the tag for the sentiment out by hand. I added a coordinating brown button to my tulle and (Trendy) twine bow.

My Creative Time :: 3-D Wednesday!

Good morning! Today is Wednesday...and you know what that means? Over at My Creative Time it's time for another 3-D Wednesday!

To challenge on 3-D Wednesday is to create anything other than a card or layout. I purchased these super cute little kraft boxes from Trendy Twine and thought that they would make the cutest treat boxes. And they are SO simple to put together, and add one of those Teeny Tags from the newest My Creative Time release!

All I did to add a little bit of color to the box is measure the sides and cut some paper 1/4" smaller for the layers. I used the Paper Studio Paper stack for the pattern. On the front of the box, I cut the paper and then used a 1" circle punch to punch out the little half circle shape. Then tied it up with some Trendy Twine, added a Teeny Tag and voila!

My Creative Time :: Monday Madness...Imagine That!

Good Monday morning my fellow crafters! Today over at My Creative Time it's time for another Monday Madness...Imagine That! For our project today, we are to use the Cricut Imagine (if we have one) and create something using the colors red, black and white! I was also asked to showcase the My Creative Time Anyday Bingo and Crossword stamp set. :)

I used the Teresa Collins Black & White Imagine cartridge to print the music and polka dot background papers; and PaperTrey Ink Black, Pure Poppy, and White for the solid colors. I also used the MCT Be Mine stamp set for the heart and stamped it with the PTI Pure Poppy Ink, then used some dimensionals to pop it up. The border punch is from Stampin' Up, and I used some mini brads to finish my card off!

The Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog is hosting the first of the new and improved challenges! This weeks challenge is to create a project with a pocket! Whether it folds, tucks, or hides a treat, pockets are a fun way to add something extra!

They will be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and TWO runners up will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog as well!

You don't have to use Peachy Keen stamps to play along, but you do have to use them in order to win the prize!

Here are the guidelines:

Design must be new, created specifically for this challenge.
Project must meet the challenge outline - show off those pockets!
Link up by January 25 at 11:59 pm CDT.

So what are you waiting for? Link up those projects for a chance to play along and win! :)

For my project I chose to use my PKS Stamp of the Month AND Peachy Picks kits! These kits are fabulous! The Peachy Picks has some great color combos and embellishments that coordinate perfectly. The Stamp of the Month is a full 8 1/2x11 sheet of PKS stamps! :) If you want more info on these clubs, click HERE.

I found this card on Split Coast Stampers a long time ago, wrote down the instructions and then never got around to making it, so I don't actually have the link. It is super simple to make and I love the little pocket that it adds!

I used PaperTrey Ink Kraft and Vintage Cream in addition to the papers in the Peachy Picks. The 6x6 paper pack is the My Mind's Eye Love Me stack. I used a Fiskars border punch on the kraft paper that wraps around the card. The ribbon is Vintage Cream from PaperTrey Ink.

For my little angel, I stamped her on the blending paper that PKS sells and then on some pearl paper and brown paper. Then I paper-pieced her together. I colored her with my Copics and on the halo, I added some Martha Stewart Glitter. And of course some glossy accents on those little eyes!

Today, I am showcasing a stamp set called "Fast Pitch Rocks" on this super cute 8x8 layout! I love how Emma's stamp sets and dies can be used for cards, layouts and even 3-D items. They all coordinate together and are so versatile!

I used PaperTrey Ink Kraft, Black and Soft Stone for the solids, the pink is Bazzill paper from my stash. The patterned paper came from the Paper Studio Ooh La La paper stack.

I used the My Creative Time Script Type background stamp on the PTI Soft Stone cardstock for that pattern. It is super easy to line up the stamp to print on larger sized paper!

I used the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge for the little mat and made a couple larger layers using my Gypsy.
I also used the My Creative Time Sports Sentiments stamp set on my project. For the stitching around the edge, I used just plain black thread and my Janome sewing machine. The border punch is a punch from Stampin' Up.

My Creative Time :: January Stamp Release Sneak Peek Day 3

Good morning and WELCOME to our THIRD day of sneaky peeks for the upcoming My Creative Time January release! Today Emma and her design team our showcasing a new stamp set called Teeny Tag Greetings!

And because these stamps are so versatile, I've made NOT one, BUT two cute projects for today!

For my first project, I used an SVG file from www.svgcuts.com called One Piece Favor Boxes. These are SO simple to use! I used the DCWV Rustic paper stack for all my papers and the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge for the flowers. This stamp also comes with a die that fits all the stamps PERFECTLY!

As soon as I saw this next saying on the stamp set, I KNEW I had to use it. I'll be using it on my hubby's Valentine card, since this is what I tell him everyday.

I used PaperTrey Ink black cardstock and some misc Bazzill cardstock for the solid colors. The love paper is from the My Mind's Eye Love Me paper stack. I embossed the dress with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. This cute little couple was cut from an SVG file called Kate's Holiday Silhouettes (also from SVGcuts.com). I added a border from My Creative Time Small Talk and some iRock gems.

Hi there! Peachy Keen Stamps is having a Kickoff Linky party to celebrate their new designers and their new and improved PK Challenges! I got some older stamps when I ordered my January Stamp of the Month kit and decided to use them, since for this first challenge, there were no additional requirements other than using some PKS!

I used the paper from the new Peachy Picks Kit and the stamp is the PKS Vivienne & Friends, colored in with some Copics. I also used the Pink By Design "Just Breathe" stamps set for the sentiment. Oh and some Divine Twine!

My Creative Time :: Favorite Stamp of the Month!

Over at My Creative Time, we have decided that every other Thursday, Emma and her design team will be dedicating projects showcasing an older My Creative Time stamp set. For today's project we are using the "You Had Me at Chocolate" stamp set.

I have a couple of projects to share today!

I am quickly getting the hang of my Silhouette Cameo! The Silhouette Cameo is a die cutting machine that allows you to cut SVG files through the Silhouette software (Designer edition) or Make The Cut. I really like the Silhouette software, and they have subscriptions where you are entitled to a monthly amount of cutting files available through the Silhouette online store. :)

I used an SVG file from My Scrap Chick called Take Flight for this adorable little pilot. ;) I couldn't resist using a cute little "peachy" face on him either! I used the 'Boy Mates' assortment, the 5/8" stamp. You can view and purchase these must have face stamps HERE

All of the solid cardstock is from my stash (Bazzill) and the patterned plaid paper for the shirt is from the DCWV All About Boys paper stack. I printed the cloud background from the Imagine Hopscotch cartridge. The super cute little banner is from the MCT Build A Banner kit. And of course, the sentiment from the You Had Me at Chocolate stamp set. I also used some PaperTrey Ink twine and some dark brown brads.

And for my second project...

I used PaperTrey Ink Kraft and Black cardstock for the base and first layer. The patterned paper is from the DCWV The Green Stack paper stack. I cut this super cute little froggy with Coordinations cardstock from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge and added some googly eyes to him. I also added some Stampin' up black brads.

If you own this stamp set, we would LOVE to see ANY projects you have made OR any NEW projects using this stamp set!

My Creative Time is having a "You Had Me at Chocolate" link up party!

Please link up your projects HERE to Mr. Linky on My Creative Time's page! If you do NOT own this set, it's your LUCKY day because it is on sale right now HERE! Go pick up your set before they sell out! We are ALL looking forward to seeing your projects! ;)

My Creative Time :: Monday Madness...Imagine That!

It's time for the first Monday Madness...Imagine That over at My Creative Time!! That's right, it's time to pull out those Imagines and get printing. This is just in time for many of you who might have taken advantage of the fabulous price of the Imagine at Walmart (or other retailers) on Black Friday. ;)

For today's post, I am showcasing the Imagine cartridge "Imagine More" and the My Creative Time stamp set "This and That," which you can purchase here!

I used PaperTrey Ink Kraft and Dark Chocolate solid cardstock, and the light teal and red polka dot patterned paper is from the DCWV The Doodlin' Around paper stack. The other patterns were all printed from the Imagine More cartridge. The sun layers were cut from page 4, the corners and blue frame from page 22 and the larger frame from page 12.

I tried to get a shadow layer of the frame, but my Imagine decided she wasn't going to play nice after a while. I ended up having to use the sizing on the Imagine itself, and then in the end she refused to update. I'm giving her a rest until tomorrow. ;)

Enjoy!

My Creative Time :: 3-D Wednesday!

I'm back! Seems like I've been gone for a while, but with the Christmas and New Year's holiday, I had some extra time off to spend with my kiddos. I didn't neglect my craftroom all together though, I was able to make some super cute projects that I'll be posting soon!

Today over at My Creative Time, it's the first 3-D Wednesday of 2012!

I'm showcasing the stamp set 100% Sweetness!
Which is PERFECT for all theValentine treats I need to start making! You can purchase the set HERE along with all of Emma's other fabulous stamps. :)

I decided to go with a cut that I found over at www.svgcuts.com. It was surprisingly easy to put together too! I love the little slot at the top for putting in little love notes. ;)

The patterned paper came from The Paper Studio U + Me paper stack, which I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I also used PaperTrey Ink Raspberry Fizz and Hibiscus Burst for the solid colors and the ribbon on the side of my mailbox. And what is a project without that fabulous Kraft cardstock? I think I find myself using more and more. :)

The little envelope stamps are from the My Creative Time Happy Mail stamp set, and I also use the Fancy Frame stamp and die set on my project.

I finished it off with some Trendy Twine and a PTI button!

I hope the start of 2012 is bringing you a little more crafting time and I can't wait to check up on your blogs and see what you've been up to!
