My Creative Time :: 3-D Wednesday!

Yay, it's Wednesday! For me that means the work week is just about half over! Today over at My Creative Time, it's time for another 3-D Wednesday. I decided to make a super easy little monogrammed notebook!

The notebook is 3 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches. I used about 50 plain index cards for the inside of the notebook. For the covers, I used old cereal boxes that I have saved up. I covered both sides with coordinating colors and then added the
different layers onto the front.
I used the My Creative Time "Honey Do List" stamp set.
You can view and purchase the set HERE.
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Spring Rain, Enchanted Evening and White cardstock
Misc Bazzill textured brown cardstock
The Paper Studio Blue & Brown Paisley
My Creative Time "Honey Do List" stamp set
Cindy loo Cricut Cartridge
Victoria CuttleBug embossing folder
Martha Stewart punch
Stampin' Up tab punch
Stampin' Up Early Espresso Ink
Recollections pearls
Cinch binding machine and 3/4 inch wire

Enjoy!

Have a slam dunk birthday!!

Sunday was my oldest son's 12th birthday! I can't believe that it's been 12 years already! He is already turning into an accomplished young man. He is an academically gifted student, getting a 8th grade Algebra credit, and has a college level reading score! Okay, enough of my bragging. ;)
He wants to be a professional basketball player right out of college, so I of course had to use some of My Creative Time's new sports stamps for his birthday card.

I did some masking to get the perfect sentiment for the card.
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink white and black cardstock
The Paper Studio "Basketballs" paper
misc Bazzill textured cardstock

My Creative Time stamps:
Slam Dunk
Wow, So Many Candles (birthday)
My Favorite Sayings (Have a)
Stitched Circle die

My Creative Time :: Monday Madness...Imagine That!

Good morning! And welcome to another Monday Madness...Imagine That episode! As always, Emma challenged her design team to break out those Cricut Imagines and use them on a project for today. I chose to use the cartridge Lori's Garden. It took me a LONG time to get this cartridge, because it was exclusive at one point. I scooped it up as soon as it became available on the Cricut website. :)

I spritzed the flower with some Glimmer Mist.

Supplies:
Stampin' Up Crumb Cake cardstock
Lori's Garden Imagine Cartridge (for all patterns and colors)
Misc Bazzill cardstock (brown)
My Creative Time "Hello Spring" stamp set
Flower Shoppe Cricut Cartridge (page 21)
Stampin' Up Early Espresso ink
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Sweet friend...

I am totally in LOVE with the Silhouette Cameo! It cuts just a little more perfect each time I use it! You can check it out HERE at Silhouette America. I know it is available for purchase elsewhere, such as Oh My Crafts and Scrapbook Express just to name a few.

Of course my sentiment is from My Creative Time and you can check out the new online store HERE!!

I chose this file from My Scrap Chick called "Did you Know," because of the super small pieces I wanted to try and cut. I am testing how it cuts on different paper and how I need to adjust my settings. I've already cut through one side of my mat. Oopsie. It certainly doesn't need as much pressure as other die-cutting machines.

Look at her eyes! Perfectly cut circles that are super small!

I can't recommend the Cameo enough. I am still trying to get my printing and cutting lined up as perfectly as I can, so I haven't gotten any projects done using that feature yet. Hopefully I will have some soon!

Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Kraft and White cardstock
Stampin' Up misc textured cardstock
My Scrap Chick Did You Know cut file
Lettering Delights Nancy's Buddies (grass)
Silhouette Store (clouds)
My Creative Time Teeny Tag Greetings stamps and dies
Pebbles, Inc. Chalk

The Imagine and a birthday card!

I'm just a little late in posting this birthday card, but wanted to share it anyway! I used my Imagine for this project. The designs and colors were all printed from the Imagine More cartridge.
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Kraft and Dark Chocolate cardstock
PaperTrey Ink Birthday Bash Sentiments stamp set
Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Stampin' Up Rhinestones
Stampin' Up Early Espresso Ink

I love how the Imagine makes it so easy to create a fabulous project. All of the solid and patterns on the cartridge coordinate and look fabulous together. It's super easy to print and cut, and I think that the cutting is actually better on the Imagine than on my regular Cricut Expression. The ink seems to last a very long time, I've had my Imagine since September of last year and I have not had to change the ink yet. :)

My Creative Time :: Throwback Thursday Challenge!!

Guess what?! It's time for another Throwback Thursday challenge over at My Creative Time! For this weeks challenge Emma would like us to use our Cricuts, any older Cricut cartridge, and create anything with a BUG theme!

I found this super cute little ladybug on the Kate's ABC cartridge on page 49. I didn't want the rest of the "scene" that comes with the cut, so I cut it off and then cut out the little legs. The card base is from Lacy Labels and was welded with my Gypsy. I used PaperTrey Ink for the solid colors, Echo Park "A Walk in the Park" 6x6 paper stack for the pattern. I embossed the light Spring Moss cardstock with the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug folder. Although, it's kind of hard to see with the pic. :) The grass is cut with the Martha Stewart border punch.

The super cute little tag is from the MCT Build A Banner kit and the sentiment from the "My Favorite Sayings" stamp set. You can view all of Emma's stamps and dies HERE.

You can also view all of the details about this challenge HERE and you might want to join in and link up your project! This is the Throwback Thursday challenge right before the big release next week, and you know what that means! One lucky person who enters has the chance to win the ENTIRE RELEASE!!

We can't wait to see what you come up with!

My Creative Time :: 3-D Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!! Today over at My Creative Time, it's time for another 3-D Wednesday! That means that the design team is showcasing any 3-D project!

For my project today, I decided to spice up one of the kraft boxes I just received from Trendy Twine. I added some paper from The Paper Studio "Oops A Daisy" paper stack. It's cut a 1/4" smaller than the box sides, and I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink. The flower is cut from the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge with the same coordinating papers. I can't believe that this was the first time I used that cartridge for a full flower, I LOVE the way it turned out! I spritzed the flower with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist and the leaves with Lily Pad Glimmer Mist.

The saddle stitched ribbon is Celebrate It from Hobby Lobby (I believe).

The sentiment is from the My Creative Time "Mom You Rock" stamp set and I used the Fancy frame stamp and die set for the tag.

Valentine Treats and Jaded Blossom Stamps!

I needed some super easy treat ideas for my kiddos classmates for Valentine's Day. Since kids just rip into the paper/wrappers to get to the candy, wanted to do something that they couldn't really destroy, but just slip the candy out of. :) Then I came across Liz's blog post over at Liz's Paper Loft. I just love this little treat pouch, and it's easy enough to make a ton without any die cutting. This was my solution, since I had to make 56 of them!

I basically did the same treat pouch as Liz did, only I made mine 5x5 squares to start off with, and then I used my Cropodile to cut a hole in the middle for the sucker.

Don't these new Jaded Blossom stamps go perfect with them?! I used the Valentine Treats and Love Bites stamp sets. My kiddos picked the sentiments...I hope no one gets offended by the Bite Me sucker treats!

I found the paper at my local scrapbook store, and can't even remember the name of it. I chose this cute monster paper for the boys. :o)

My Creative Time :: Monday Madness...Imagine That!

Good MONDAY morning! Glad to have you all back for another Monday Madness...Imagine That! For today's project I am showcasing a My Creative Time stamp set called Many Greetings. You can view and purchase this stamp set (along with all of the MCT stamps and dies) HERE

This card is on page 22 of the Imagine More Cards Cricut cartridge. I cut it so it was right about the size of an A2 card.  The image on the front and the butterfly were part of different images on this same cartridge. I used some miscellaneous pearls that I had on hand, PaperTrey Ink twine and faux stitching to finish it off.

I also wanted to print some patterns for the inside of my card to make it coordinate with the front side.

That's all for today! Don't forget to stop by the other designers blogs and get some more inspiration for using your Imagines!

And...if you haven't heard already, Emma has added two new designers to the team!

Don't forget to stop by and show them some love!

The perfect mailbox!

Good morning! I hope you're enjoying the new look and name of my blog! No, I didn't get into trouble for using the Cricut name, but decided that I wanted to change it (before that happened) AND showcase more projects using machines other than the Cricut...such as the Silhouette Cameo! This blog look is super simple and boring, but I'm currently on the waiting list for one of  Veronica's designs. So I figure this will just have to do until then!

Today I am showcasing a new file from My Scrap Chick! My scrap Chick has some of the CUTEST SVG files out there! I admit, I have a lot of them, I just need to start using them more. It's too bad you can't just purchase craft time as easily as you can SVG files. ;) This mailbox was super simple to put together and even comes with a tutorial on how to do so. I cut it with my Silhouette Cameo. :)

I used the Paper Studio "Ooh La La" paper stack for the patterns and some Stampin' Up cardstock for the solid pink. Of course I had to dress it up with some My Creative Time stamps and dies. I used the 100% Sweetness for this one. :)

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!
