Peachy Keen Challenge 19 :: Color Inspiration

Happy Tuesday! I'm back today with a new project for the Peachy Keen Challenge 19 :: Color Inspiration! The theme for this weeks challenge is to use the color palette in the picture.

All of my paper is miscellaneous Bazzill cardstock that I had in my scraps stash. So I don't know the actual colors. ;)
The Flower Pot Card is a cut file from My Scrap Chick, I imported it into Make The Cut and then cut it with my Silhouette Cameo. The super cute Chevron paper is a digital paper pack from VN Digital Art that I found through an Etsy Shop.
I used the internal shadow feature to create a second layer for my "corny" little flowers. :) And of course some My Creative Time sentiments to finish it off!
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Soft Stone and White cardstock
Bazzill White textured cardstock (for digi paper)
Misc Bazzill colored cardstock
Stampin' Up Daffodil Delight
My Scrap Chick Flower Pot Card file
My Creative Time Bloom Where You are Planted
Peachy Keen The Cornies Face Assortment
Liz's Paper Loft Boutique Hemp Twine
Misc button

I hope the rest of your Tuesday is fabulous and I'll see you back here bright and early for another My Creative Time 3-D Wednesday!

My Creative Time :: Scrappy Monday!!

Good morning! I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day. Today is the day to remember not only those who have served our country and have given the ultimate sacrifice, but all of our loved ones who can no longer be with us...those that were and are heroes to us in their own ways. :)

A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself ~ Joseph Campbell

Today over at My Creative Time, it's time for another Scrappy Monday Layout Challenge! Emma is challenging us to create only layouts. For this challenge, there are only a couple simple requirements:
~ use only one picture ~
~ incorporate buttons on your project ~

And so here is the layout that I came up with! In honor of memorial day, I decided to go with a patriotic theme.
This is my most favoritest picture of my two boys! Of course it was taken a LONG time ago, since my kiddos are now 12 and 10. But it's still and always will be my favorite.
I created the title within the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition using a font installed on my computer. I LOVE the fact that we can cut any true type fonts that we already have. :) I used the polygon tool to create the stars and then used the internal offset to create the smaller layers. I welded the words and stars together and then used the offset feature to create the shadow border. I also created the tabbed photo mat and it's layers, that I saw online a while back, but I can't for the life of me remember where. :)
Supplies:
Bazzill White Textured cardstock
PaperTrey Ink White cardstock
The Paper Studio Vintage Nation 12x12 paper stack
My Creative Time My Little Firecracker
My Creative Time Tag Dies
Liz's Paper Loft Boutique Hemp Twine
Misc buttons from Foof-A-La

Don't forget that this is a link-up challenge! So head on over to My Creative Time to link up your own "Scrappy Monday" layouts!

My Scrap Chick :: Birdhouse Explosion Box

It's finally Friday! This week just seemed to drag on...and on...and on! I have a BRAND new project for you today! This Birdhouse Explosion Box is being released over at My Scrap Chick today! It was super easy to put together and it is soooo cute! I used Make the Cut and my Cameo to cut out all the pieces.

My b-e-a-utiful roses are from the fabulous Miss Emma over at My Creative Time and you can purchase them HERE. They are very easy to put together and add just the perfect touch to almost any project! I also used the My Creative Time Stitched Oval die and Scallop Circle die. :) My sweet little sentiment is from the Home Sewn stamp set.
For the roof of the birdhouse, I cut it out three times, trimmed each piece a little bit and then added a scallop border (Stampin' Up punch) to each layer.
I used the 12x12 My Mind's Eye Ohh La La paper pack for the patterned paper, and PaperTrey Ink for my solid colors.
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and an even better weekend!! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
