My Creative Time :: Happy Anniversary

Good morning!
Today, I have another super cute My Creative Time project to share with you.
I need to make some anniversary cards in the next couple months, so I figured I could get a head start on them. That is, until Miss Emma over at My Creative Time is ready to get back to creating and the design team can start working on some
AH-MAZING new projects. :)
I found this adorable owl file over in the Silhouette Library and cut it out with my Cameo. Look at those teeny tiny eyes on the owls. The Cameo cut them perfectly once again!

PaperTrey ink Kraft, Vintage Cream and White cardstock
My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy 6x6 paper stack
My Mind's Eye Nostalgia 6x6 paper stack

I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Well, this is probably going to be my final challenge today! I've had a blast doing the challenges...but it sure has been a challenge! My kiddos have been nagging me non-stop! :)

A few more sympathy cards.

What a busy week this has been over here, and I am so glad that it is almost over. Not only has it been busy, but I've unfortunately had to make some more sympathy cards.

Since I did have quite a few to make, I decided to go with a simple card. I found this perfect design over at Gina K Designs (Stamp TV), which is where I got the totally cute stamp set I used for my image too. This is the Petals and Wings Stamp TV kit, and it has a ton of cute images and sentiments on it. :)
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Black and SoftStone cardstock
My Mind's Eye Meadowlark 6x6 paper stack
Stamp TV Petals and Wings kit

I hope the rest of your Friday is fabulous!

My Creative Time :: Guest Designer!

Good morning crafty fans! I've got another super cute project to share with you today.

I'm using one of My Creative Time's earlier stamp sets, 100% Sweetness. It is actually one of My Creative Time's Valentine sets, but hey...you can use these sentiments at any time!
The hexagon card base is a shape in the Silhouette Library. I duplicated the shape, flipped it and then welded the two of them together to create the base. It measures just under a 5 1/2 inches in width, and a little less in height but I don't recall the actual measurement. I cut it out in PaperTrey Ink Kraft cardstock. To create the top layer, I used the internal offset feature and cut it out in My Mind's Eye Rosy 6x6 paper stack.

I found this adorable Frog Prince SVG file designed by Lisa Norris over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. Isn't he just the cutest?! He was cut out in Core'dinations cardstock. The pattern paper is also from the My Mind's Eye Rosy stack. It has some of the cutest papers in it! I really love all of the new papers from My Mind's Eye, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite paper companies. :)
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Kraft, White, and Vintage Cream cardstock
My Mind's Eye Rosy 6x6 paper stack

Peachy Challenge 27 :: Sketch Challenge

Hello! Are you ready for another project this morning? Today, I created a card for the current Peachy Keen Stamps challenge. This week's challenge is a sketch challenge! You can read all about it on the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog HERE.
Here is the sketch we are required to follow!
We only have until Wednesday at Midnight to enter, so head on over and link up your projects!

My card today is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. I used PaperTrey Ink White cardstock for the base and Kraft cardstock for my first layer. The pattern papers are all from the My Mind's Eye (Follow Your Heart) Be Amazing 6x6 paper stack. :)
I used some Spellbinders for my main image. That super cute sun is the Peachy Keen Large Sun stamp. But since I am totally in love with the Cornie faces, I decided to mask out the original face and add this Cornie face instead. I guess I just couldn't resist!  And I chose one of the sentiments from the newest Peachy Keen July Stamp of the Month.
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink White, Kraft, Lemon Tart, and Summer Sunrise cardstock

A man card...and a winner!!

Yay for Monday mornings! Okay, not really.

But I do have some good news to start out the day.
It's time to announce the winner of the Pink by Design Capture Life stamp set!
The winner chosen by www.random.org is
Summer Hills-Painter
who said,
"Such a cute card!"

And without keeping you waiting any longer, today I have a super cool man card to share with you. :) A while back I received an order with some (newer to me) Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folders. The one I used on my card today is called Riveted Metal. I knew as soon as I opened it, exactly what I wanted to do with it!
And yes...if you're asking, this is tinfoil! And it gave me the exact look I had pictured in my head. In order to emboss it, I cut a piece of super thin cardstock at the size I needed and then wrapped the foil around it with the adhesive on the back side. Then just ran it through my Cuttlebug. Super easy and super cool, right?!
I looked everywhere online for an SVG tool box file, and the majority of the files were all 3-D ones. (hint, hint) I finally found this one in the Lettering Delights Tools Cut It set. I cut it out in red and black cardstock, to give the handle a different color. The tools are from the Silhouette Library and cut with my cameo.
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink White and Black cardstock
Misc Bazzill textured cardstock
Core'dinations
Pink by Design Tool Time
Silhouette Studio Library (tools)
Lettering Delights Tools Cut It set (tool box)
Tim Holtz Alterations Riveted Metal embossing folder

I hope you all have a great day!

A super quick thank you card!

Good morning!
Today, I have a quick thank you card to share with all of you! I say super quick because all you need is a paper trimmer and some fabulous stamps. :)

This is a 4 1/4 inch square card. The stamp from the My Creative Time Small Talk set is stamped on a 3x3 inch square. The most time consuming part is probably the coloring, other than that, it took me maybe 15 minutes to complete. So it would be a great card to make if you had to make a lot of them.
To finish it off, choose some simple embellishments. I used some hemp twine, black gems and the iRock.
 Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Black and White cardstock
Echo Park Happy Days 6x6 paper stack
My Creative Time Small Talk
My Creative Time Bloom Where You are Planted

Our "day-cation" and a Sympathy card

Good morning!
Wow, I hope the weekend has been treating you well! We took another mini "day-cation" this last Saturday to South Pass City, a historic site here in Wyoming for their annual Gold Rush days. The kiddos had fun panning for gold and checking out all of the historic buildings. They even got a "job" at the printing press and made themselves each a bookmark. :) Oh...and they did find a few super small flakes of gold!
Although we didn't stay very long, it was nice to get out of the house again. Especially for me, since Friday was a particularly bad day for me, as one of my bosses passed away. What a coincidence it was actually Friday the 13th. So when we returned from our "day-cation" I had to head on down to my craft room to make some sympathy cards. And working all morning on sympathy cards really took away my craft mojo for the rest of the day.

But I was able to finish this one for one of my co-workers, and wanted to share it. I used the newer Simple Sayings stamp set from those fabulous ladies over at Jaded Blossom.
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink Black and Soft Stone cardstock
My Mind's Eye Meadowlark 6x6 paper stack
Jaded Blossom Simple Sayings
Spellbinders Classic Scallop Circles Small

I hope you all have a fabulous Monday!
