If the Broom Fits...

And my last project for the day...

Welcome to the Neighborhood!

Today, I was finally able to spend most of the day crafting away! And I even used that new Janome sewing machine on a couple of cards. IT IS FABULOUS! I highly recommend it! It is really light and fairly small, so it fits right into my craft room. It is the best one I have used!

We have some new neighbors! So I decided to make a card for them to welcome them to our neighborhood! They are an older couple and he happens to be the chief of police. So instead of my hubby asking people to slow down and pay attention...now the chief gets to!

Recipe for card:

A2 Sized Card
Stampin' Up Cardstock: Dark Chocolate, Bermuda Bay, Lemon Tart, Kraft Cardstock, Green Galore, Gable Green
ColorBox white cardstock printed with a pattern from the Imagine Hopscotch Cartridge

Glossy Accents (used on the windows)

Welcome to another Throwback Thursday Challenge over at My Creative Time!

Here are the details for the challenge:
***Use ANY "RETIRED" Cricut cartridge of YOUR choice! You can see a list of "Retired" cartridges HERE! IF you do NOT own a retired cartridge, just use any OLDER cart that you own!

For the winner of this Throwback Thursday Challenge, Emma is giving away her newest release, her 9th Edition stamp set! The entire set!

I decided to go with the Serenade Cricut Cartridge. This one has so many cute cuts on it! And since my kids were watching Gnomeo and Juliet a few days back...I couldn't resist these adorable little flamingos for an anniversary card! :)

Recipe:

Once Upon a Princess Cricut Cartridge (page 46) I used my Gypsy to weld the two images together for my card base. Then made a couple smaller layers. The card is just barely under 5x7.
Stampin' Up Cardstock: Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream, Kraft, Ripe Avocado, New Leaf, Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst
Serenade Cricut Cartridge: Flamingos cut at 4" (For the green Flamingo, I flipped it with my Gypsy.)

The Janome Sew Mini...perfect for paper crafting??

A couple years back at a Scrapbook Expo in Utah, I purchased that little Provo Craft sewing machine to add stitching onto my paper crafts. Well, it never did work. I started to look around and most of the research I did, showed that this little machine was one of the best in it's price range. It has quite a few different stitches, too! So I ordered it a few weeks ago and just got it on Monday! I haven't had time to use it...yet. But I'm hoping that this weekend, I can try it out!

Happy Anniversary!

A simple Anniversary card for my stepdaughter and son-in-law. :) They've been married for 6 years now!

I got the new Art Nouveau Cricut Cartridge and some new Pink By Design  stamps last week, and one stamp set, "Honey Pie" went perfectly with this bee cut on this cart. What's better together than Cricut AND Pink By Design?!

I guess next time I need to look at my handbook when layering the bee. After I put it together and THEN looked at it, my bee looks a little different, lol. But I still like the way it turned out!

Misc Bazill cardstock
