Back to School!

Yay! Finally I can say it's back to school time!
It seems like everyone else started weeks ago, but my kiddos finally went back today. And regardless if they say they didn't want too...they are both sooo excited. :) Especially my oldest, since it's his first day of Junior High School.

This morning, I just want to share a quick card I made for my youngest son's 5th grade teacher. He is my only baby left in elementary school, so he'll be the only one I get to make treats for! Time goes by WAY to fast!
I created my card base in the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition by using the actual Blackboard file and the external offset feature. Once you have that base shape, then it's super simple to create a shaped card by duplicating, flipping and welding. :) The card measures just at the standard A2 size.
I embossed the writing on the blackboard to make it look a little bit more realistic. And then used some white chalk on the edges of the eraser and on the blackboard itself.
The apple cut is from the Pretty Paper Graphics Back To School Cutting Files, I just didn't chose to cut the (totally adorable) face on mine. ;)
Supplies:
PaperTrey Ink White cardstock
Core'dinations
Pretty Paper Graphics Blackboard Cut File
Pretty Paper Graphics Back to School Cutting Files
Pretty Paper Graphics School Days Chalkboards Digital Paper
Pretty Paper Graphics School Days Pattern Pack Digital Paper
My Creative Time My Teacher Rocks
My Creative Time Anyday Bingo and Crossword
Versamark Ink pad
Stampin' Up White embossing powder

And don't forget to head on over to My Creative Time today and check out some fabulous new techniques. Emma and the DT are showcasing new techniques every Tuesday and you don't want to miss anything!
